Sean Joiner, folklorist and author, holds an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice Technology from Augusta Technical College, and a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Troy University. He has written two books Haunted Augusta and Local Legends and Black America: Augusta, Georgia. His next two works to be released are titled Civil War Ghosts of Georgia and Respectfully Forwarded Disapproved. He has lectured on folklore and African-American history and culture in Augusta, Georgia. He has been featured in local newspapers, television interviews (Midday on 12 and Book TV/CSPN2), and has consulted on topics on local folklore in the Augusta area. Mr. Joiner has also written articles for the Columbia County Magazine that relate to issues on Georgia history and folklore. He is also the founder and president of the Edward N. Nelson Conservation Fund, contributing all articles and text for the website. |
